problem of protecting the environment

　
　　As we all know, the problem of protecting the environment is very essential now .However , some people today are still thinking that it's the government's business.What I want to say here is that nature is our Mother, every human being has the responsibility to protect it, to make it keep balance. After being aware of this thought, it is a easy job to improve the relationship between man and nature,we can grow more trees instead of cutting them down.Besides that,keeping a good habit will be also helpful,that is no throwing about the rubbish.What's more, we can tell people who aren't aware of the importance of the environmenatal protection, the relationship between human and nature, and tell them how to make our nature more beatiful and colorful.
　　Since earliest time humans have had to struggle to survive. Plants and animals also have this problem, but there is one big difference. Man is the only species that threatens his own survival as well as that of other organisms, to such extent that life can be completely wiped out. With his technological knowledge, his ability to communicate and to form abstract concepts, man is capable of changing his enviroment completely.
　　The abovementioned abilities make man extremely adaptable. In contrast to plants and animals, which usually have to undergo gradual genetic changes to adapt to changing enviromental conditions, man can change his behaviour and adapt to a new enviroment within his own lifespan.
　　The adaptability of man has led to a rapid increase in the number of humans, depletion of resources, and pollution of the enviroment with by-products of human activities. There is awareness of the need for conservation, but there is as yet little evidence of a sense urgency.
